Respected in the industry Kathy has been the recipient of numerous local awards including the Top Sales Volume Award, Top Sales Associate of the Year and the Spirit Award. Kathy’s sales volumes recognized her in the 5% of producers in Maryland. She has performed duties as an expert witness in several real estate cases and background includes hands-on experience in the construction field. She is a lifetime member of the Distinguished Achievement Club, The Masters Club, Women's Council of Real Estate, Chesapeake's Top 300 Real Producers, Real Producers Top 500, Baltimore Top Producers, Independent Brokers Coalition and Producer Top 150 Club. She also serves as President of Crain Overlook, a commercial real estate entity. She is also a notary public.
In her spare time, Kathy enjoys playing golf and spending time with her nine grandchildren. Her interests include participating in events in the Annapolis area as well as supporting local sports especially her grandkid's events, the Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. She also loves hanging out with her adorable Corgi.

Steffan May entered the real estate industry while attending Towson University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He later completed his Master of Business Administration at the University of Maryland, further strengthening his business, negotiation, and client-service foundation. With more than twelve years of real estate experience, Steffan has become a trusted advisor throughout Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City. Having lived and built relationships across these communities for over thirty years, he offers hyper-local knowledge paired with a commitment to delivering a seamless, elevated client experience.
Steffan’s expertise spans luxury homes, first-time homebuyers, estate and probate sales, commercial properties, investment acquisitions, and traditional residential sales. He is well-versed in guiding both buyers and sellers through complex transactions and prides himself on clear communication, strategic thinking, and a consistently high level of service.

Outside of real estate, Steffan enjoys spending time with his wife, Meg, and their two children, Crew and Tatum. He can often be found fishing, boating on the Chesapeake, or golfing with family and friends. Steffan is also a member of Chartwell Country Club.

Tiffany Carnes is a real estate professional who brings warmth, energy, and genuine care to every client she works with. Born and raised in Maryland, Tiffany knows the community inside and out and loves helping people plant roots right here at home. After earning her real estate license in June 2023, she transitioned from a successful career in medical sales—where she perfected the art of understanding people’s needs and delivering results. RICK CANDY
Educated at South Carroll High School and Catonsville Community College, Rick worked as a Director at Johns Hopkins Hospital, exceling in business management and environmental services.
Rick joined Synergy Realty after a twenty-six-year career with Broadway Services Inc. in Baltimore, making a career change fulfilling his passion of working with people. Raised in Carroll County, Rick understands the numerous intangible benefits of life in the Maryland area with its unmatched weather, culture, and diversity.
Rick’s creative, enthusiastic, and caring nature is perfect for matching each client’s desires as well as skillfully featuring a home’s unique presence and character.
Rick enjoys playing sports such as skiing, golf and has been playing softball for local teams for many years. He enjoys watching the Terps, Ravens and Orioles but mostly enjoys time with family and his beloved Golden Retriever, Murphy.
KAREN SLOWIKOWSKI
Karen joined Synergy Realty after a 28-year career in Commercial Real Estate accounting and is now fully dedicated to helping her residential clients find their perfect home. Her professional background includes significant tenures with some of the industry's most recognized names including The Rouse Company/General Growth Properties (17 years), Kimco Realty, Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) and Howard Hughes Communities. She received her BS in Business Administration from Salisbury University and certification in Advanced Accounting from the University of Maryland.
Karen's shift from commercial to residential real estate was driven by a passion to combine her extensive industry background with her desire to help people through the momentous process of buying or selling a home. You can expect energy, integrity, attention to detail and good communication from her every step of the way.
When not assisting her clients, Karen enjoys spending time with her son & daughter who are both attending Penn State University. She also enjoys the outdoors, staying active by practicing yoga and hiking with her dog Bear.
